You don’t see a sativa-hybrid strain like Nigerian Silver, a cross of a Nigerian landrace strain and Amnesia Haze, on Portland’s recreational market every day.

That’s why, as soon as I saw it pop on The Dime Stores menu, a small dispensary located on N. Lombard Street in North Portland, I knew I had to scope it out. This time on Red Eye Files, I’ll be reviewing 10 grams of Nigerian Silver that was grown by KMB Farms, a family-owned farm based in North Plains, Oregon.

I’ll judge this flower based on how it smells, tastes, and how it makes me feel. I will be consuming this flower in my Arizer Solo 2 dry-herb vape that’s connected to my bong.

According to the lab result provided by SC Labs, this flower tests at 30% THC. Additionally, this flower was harvested on Sept. 1st of this year, making it some fresh bud for this Croptober.

Scent: I fell in love with how this strain smells. It reeks of skunks doused in gasoline that were set loose into a spice factory. Truly some funky-smelling bud.

Taste: This bud tastes gassy, yet earthy like dry pine needles and forest floor. Makes me think of Northern California for some reason.

High: The high was very focused but relaxing. Each bowl in my Arizer Solo 2 made me high for about 45 minutes, which is longer than normal. This strain allowed me to write this article without any stress.

Final Thoughts: I really like this strain; it’s energetic, which makes me feel productive, but at the same time it’s very relaxing and uplifting. It’s quite unique, in my opinion. But before we wrap this article up, I really want to talk about what makes this flower unique.

For starters, it’s a very distinct cross of two older strains you don’t see very often, especially the Nigerian Landrace genetics. KMB Farms took a rare sativa landrace and crossed it with Amnesia Haze, an old-school Dutch sativa-hybrid comprised of Thai, Cambodian, Laotian, Jamaican, and Hawaiian genetics.

I find it amazing that you can genetically pack those wide sativa varieties into one strain and have it be balanced. It’s not as speedy as some sativas I’ve had in the past. It’s just right.
